Our Mission
Franklinton Rising is dedicated to breaking the cycle of economic and spiritual poverty in Columbus inner-city neighborhoods, beginning in Franklinton. Our mission is twofold: first, to invest in the transformation of young at-risk adults, empowering them to become productive citizens with successful careers in the building trades, property ownership, and the embodiment of Christian values within the community.
Simultaneously, we are committed to the revitalization of the community's physical landscape. Through the comprehensive rebuilding of blighted residential properties and the construction of new, affordable housing, we strive to create modern, attractive, efficient, and durable residences. Our vision is to foster a sense of community among neighbors, diminish illicit activities and crime, and attract new residents without causing gentrification in the community.
At Franklinton Rising, our overarching goal is to break the pervasive cycle of poverty that plagues the neighborhoods we serve. Through holistic investment in individuals and the built environment, we aim to create sustainable change, fostering a thriving community that reflects our core values of empowerment, integrity, and compassion.
